Event Director - March

After much deliberation the Event Director has been decided.

Johnson will be our ED for the March Event.

Thank you to all that applied. I will keep the current submissions in consideration when call out for the November event is announced.


General Meeting – Sunday, March 4th

We will be holding the General Meeting (GM) on Sunday, March 4th at 2:00pm at Ali’s house.
Detailed below will be the Agenda for the Spring GM.
At this time I would ask all those interested in declaring to run for the Ombudsman position to please post in the member’s forums for consideration.
After the GM itself we will be moving forward with the first Rules Committee of the year for those that are interested in staying. For those intending to stay please bring a boffer weapon for possible play test weather permitting. (Just a weapon, full armour is not required)

For those of you that are unable to make the GM we are going to attempt to have it available online for listening. I will make a follow up posting in the member’s forum section on how to do this.

Voting for those that are unable to make the GM must still occur via proxy and not over the broadcast. Please have someone bring your signed vote or feel free to PM me with your Proxy for the Ombudsman election.

New Player Committee

Hello all,

As co-chair of the New Player Committee, I would like to ask those interested in joining this year to reach out to me via PM to apply.

What does the New Player Committee actually do, you ask?

Two years ago, we created the New Player Guide, an outreach tool for new members, and we work to keep the online version updated with pertinent information (event dates, locations, Executive Committee, etc.).

We work in association with the Marketing Committee to help at conventions, if required.

We answer all emails sent to the New Player Committee email address. We help new players, or prospective new players, to shape their first character and propose tweaks to character concepts/skills for a first character (if so needed/desired!) to help fit within the game world.

We also offer to be "hosts" for new players - let them shadow us for their first event (if so desired!) until they get a feel for the game and then move on to other groups (or they stay with us and we've made new friends, either way, everyone wins!)


Please send me a PM if you are interested in joining the New Player Committee this year.
Even if you were a member of the Committee last year, please send me a PM so that I know you still wish to remain on the committee.

Deadline to apply: February 17th, 2012, since the first convention Epoch is attending this year is the following weekend.

Forum Down Time

The forums will be coming down sometime this weekend (likely Saturday morning) for maintenance. I don't expect they will be down more then 30 min but sometimes things don't go the way I plan.


Date Change for Event

Since we worked well with the convention known as Con Bravo we have switched the event date in order to attend the convention. The new date for the July event will be July 20 - 22nd.

Marketing Committee

If you would like to be a part of the Marketing Committee please send me a PM ASAP as we need to start preparations for the upcoming conventions. Applications should be in to me by January 27th. When considering if you would like to be a part of this, please consider your schedule and be sure that you will have the time to devote to this group, not only at conventions but also between with prep work. There is a lot more involved in this committee than attending conventions.

New Prices For 2012!

Greetings everyone!

This is a post to update the current cost for casting. We the executive debated and arranged a new system for those who wish to cast.

Members:

Option A: Member pays $40.00. They earn 6xp which can be doubled out; 12 creeps, 1 Grab Bag Token plus an additional 3 XP that cannot be doubled out.

Option B: Member pays $5.00. They earn 3xp that cannot be doubled out. They also earn 6 creeps.

Non-Members:

Option A: Non-Member pays $50.00. They earn 6xp which can be doubled out; 12 creeps, 1 Grab Bag Token plus an additional 3 XP that cannot be doubled out.

Option B: Non-Member pays $10.00. They earn 3xp that cannot be doubled out. They also earn 6 creeps.

Remember if money is ever an issue please contact the treasurer and we can always negotiate something.

Greetings everyone,

This is your pre-log notice for "Chastity's home coming" on the 21st of January. A few notes for you all:
-yes you should pre-log for your new skills that you acquired from the last event
-yes you will be getting CRPs for pre-logging
-no you will not be getting income, this is a special event
-no you will not be fighting at this event, you can have your weapons on you for role playing purposes only
-due to the later notice of pre-log, pre-log will be open until thursday the 19th at 6:00 p.m.

ED submissions are due by February 1st and will be announced by February 10th at the very latest for the March Event.

AD submissions are due by April 1st and will be announced by April, 13th to give the AD for the season appropriate time to complete preparations
